Celebrating 60 years of Bushwalking in 2025
Bushwalking Adventures Queensland Diamond Jubilee!!!
As per the Club Origins page, we are celebrating 60 yrs in 2025 as a bushwalking club. We may have had a name change along the way, but one constant has been the name members affectionately use all the time to refer to the club, and that's "The Bushies". We will be posting information here about our upcoming anniversary plans.
To date we have enjoyed a 60th Anniversary Brisbane riverside walk with present and past members, followed by brunch in The Gardens Club Cafe. There has also been a very enjoyable 60th Anniversary Social Dinner at Easts Leagues Club.
Here we are in our Diamond Jubilee Year. What a milestone!!! Anniversary Events will be posted here and on our calendar, so watch out for them.
There will be social events, walks and base camps back to some of the areas first walked.
Definitely need a Jubilee Cake !!!

For our 50th anniversary ...... Highlights were
- Club records, trip reports and photos were scanned into an electronic archive
- More than 3000 photos from each decade of the club were collected
- Memorial walks back to the first club walks were held to Mt Barney, O'Reillys and Mt Warning
- Photo displays and gatherings with current and past members
- Bush Dance
