Member FAQ's

Based on feedback after our migration, these FAQ's will grow. If everyone is asking the same question, then it will warrant adding it to this list to help others along their MJ journey.

You can have a reminder sent to your email address by going to the Member Login page, and clicking on the "Forgot username" or "Forgot password" links under the login fields.

securityAll passwords are encrypted and the website and the administration area of Member Jungle are all encrypted by SSL in data transit.

Your data is stored in a secured database which is physically separated from the web-server to further protect your data.

Member Jungle has hosted systems for over 15+ years for Australian government and non-government organisations.

Access to specific member data is controlled by the site administrators, who can allow (and restrict) individual access and privileges for additional website or system editors.

payment-protectionThe website uses Stripe as the online payment gateway. All details entered into the gateway are encrypted and cannot be accessed by anyone other than the cardholder.

Stripe is a certified PCI Service Provider Level 1. This is the most stringent level of certification that is available in the payment industry. To accomplish this, they use the best-in-class security tools and practices to maintain a high level of security at Stripe.

If you need to update your email address in the system, you will need to login to your "My Account" area, where you can click the "Review and Edit my details" to update your email address and contact details.

forbiddenThere is the ability to mute some emails and notifications as per the following, but we send out our newsletter from Mailchimp, not MJ at the moment. If you don't wish to receive the newsletter, please email the Communications Officer and they can remove your email address from their mail out list.

If you do not wish to get newsletter communication from the club, you can mute these in your "My Accounts" tab by clicking the "Mute all website Newsletter emails".

The system will have some membership related emails that are triggered at various stages of your membership that cannot be muted. This is to ensure you are kept updated about the status of your membership with us.

No. Members must nominate for themselves only.

The only time an increase in number should be used is when an approved guest is coming on a walk or joining a club activity, and that guest completes the risk form here: Participating in a Walk as a Guest or Affiliated Club Member.

Do not use this form to add your partner or a friend who are also members.

One of the Outings Officers will vet your activity before it is published to the calendar, so don't panic if something isn't quite right. They'll give you pointers and ask you to modify if necessary. The information for creating an activity can be found in the Documents section along with other helpful information for members.

You can find instructions on creating a photo gallery for an event in the Documents section.

Using a tablet or PC you have the option of logging in via your web browser to www.bushies.org.au or using the app. A PC has more real estate to show everything, so the format is slightly different to a tablet. If you are a tablet user, don't think you are forced in the app as any web browser can be used to log on.

it will help if you acknowledge the attendance of people on your walk. There are statistics which build up a picture of how popular the walks are or of no-shows. On the app for each attendee, click their name or the side arrow on the registration list and tick the box for ATTENDED. This can also be done on the PC where you created the event by looking at Registrations (people icon) and clicking attended for those who turned up.

If you aren't an app user via phone/tablet, you can still see any chat messages via WEBCHAT. While logged on, under the Calendar tab is an option for Webchat. This allows you to send out a group message to people registered on the activity or to read the group chats just the same as those using the app.
